Rocks!

Core:
Do all of the following:

1. Go outside and find a rock you like. Maybe one that represents you I  some way.
2. Look up "Rock " in your scriptures  (or do a word study on "rock") - write down what connections you saw between rocks and faith, write your thoughts below or bring your writing to class.
3. Learn something about how your rock was probably formed. If you own the UM book, it has much to say about rock formation in chapter 6 that are interesting to learn about. Think of some parallels between how rocks are made and how faith is built.
4. Bring a discussion question to class
5. Watch these videos:



Journeyman:
Do one or more of the following:

    *Look through Chapter 6 of the Universal Model book. Read the sections and pictures that look interesting to you.
    *Watch the following video for a fuller understanding of how radiometric dating works and the assumptions made when using it (sorry about the awkward cover) :

Master:
Do one or more of the following:

*Read chapter 6 of the Universal Model
*Read the book "Thousands, Not Billions" - or the parts of it that you find interesting. There are also articles and youtube videos about the book that you can research or watch instead.
